Since the summer of 2005 groups of young people from Gwent (& beyond) have taken part in a trip of a lifetime to Kenya. The trip is run by Adventure Alternative Ltd and Moving Mountains Trust to benefit the communities and children in Kenya.
Andy helps to recruit the young people during his talks at the Gwent Schools and supports them to raise the money to go. This year the young people helped to refurbish the orphanage, visit a number of classrooms at local schools and run a summer camp for Kenyan street children. They also had the opportunity to deliver HIV/Aids & condom information to the Kenyan young people as part of a small peer education programme.
This photo was taken at the Ulamba Orphanage where we were based for the first two weeks.
